The BUSINESS HACKATHON aims to stimulate entrepreneurship among students. Teams are challenged to conceive of a new service or product offering, and then create a business plan and concept aimed at convincing potential Judges. Finalists have an opportunity to pitch their idea to a live audience of senior managers and academics.
Participants in the Business Plan Hackathon benefit in a variety of ways:
●Experience creating a business model and writing a business plan
●Familiarity with primary/secondary market research and the process of conducting feasibility studies
●Feedback from a jury of senior managers and academics
●Experience working as part of a team
●Opportunity to sharpen organizational and communication skills

● There will be 3 phases
●Team limit: 4 members.
The solution will be based on case studies or your own business idea.
● First is Abstract submission. (Your business idea)
Deadline: 24th February 2019
Only qualified teams in abstract submission round will be eligible for the next two rounds.
Mail your submissions with not more than 500 characters at firstname.lastname@example.org with subject "Business Hackathon abstract" along with your team name and contact details.
Participants are also required to mention at the beginning of their abstract if their idea has a prototype/model based on given case studies or their own business idea. The working model is not mandatory but it would enhance your chance for scoring extra points.
● Second is onsite BUSINESS MODEL preparation
The selected participants from the abstract round will be given 4 hours to completely prepare their model.
The model is supposed to be prepared in the PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur following the hackathon event.
● Third round is the pitching (Presentation) round.
Presenting or pitching of your business model prepared in the second round in front of the judges.
Each team will be given 5 minutes for pitching and 5 minutes for defending their idea (questionnaire).
Participants will be judged on the following criteria:
●Feasibility and Sustainability
●Project Report (issued by the judges)
Round 1: Abstract submission round: 25th February 2019.
Business model format for the second round will be released on 1st March 2019.

Brand presentation helps you to cultivate a professional corporate look - which goes a long way presenting yourself as an expert in your field. In future clients will take one look at your details and be impressed with your commitment to the details. By handing out a business presentation at the end of any business meeting, you can be sure that the information will be retained and that your final impression is just good as your first.
Participants in the brand presentation will be benefited as :
●Siloed communication ●Ineffective marketing ● Messaging inconsistency
●Execution challenges ●Inefficient use of the resource

● Pick any brand of your choice and prepare a power point presentation describing the brand.
● Elaborate and explain its working, success story, challenges, marketing strategy, SWOT analysis etc.
● Team Size- One or Two.
● Time limit- 6 minutes per team
● In case of any dispute, the coordinator’s decision will be final.
An interactive session with students to tell them how future technology and proper design can solve present-day problems and can be used to boost business. Various great examples would be discussed in depth. The need for innovation and some great innovation in the field of technology will also be discussed. Backed by a relevant and interesting activity at the end.
